Abstract
Degenrative scoliosis defers significantly from congenital scoliosis in presentation and behaviour. It is viewed unfavourably by spine surgeons and therefore has an indolent painful corse causing pain, debilitation and deformity. We highligh some basic aspects about this disease so that detection and management become more accepted to improve the lives of its sufferers.
